Er is een default file ~layout.txt voor alle websites.
Deze staat in de top-directory,
op de Edimax juist boven alle websites, dus op /var/www/.
Deze /var/www/~layout.txt bevat de minimale inhoud om
om een goed werkende website te maken,
zodat het direct mogelijk is, de aandacht eerst op de inhoud te richten,
en later de layout nogeens aan te passen.
Voor 'luxere' websites is dit niet genoeg.
Dat geeft niet: per site kan een eigen ~layout.txt
de zaak aanzienlijk opfleuren.
Maar door de reeds aanwezige default kan dat
worden uitgesteld tot later.
Daarnaast bevat de algemene /var/www/~layout.txt standaard zaken
die voor sites noodzakelijk zijn,
en nor,aliter niet aangepast hoeven te worden.
Bijvoorbeeld webserver foutmeldingen, en standaard
HTML-codes om de communicatie mogelijk te maken.
